Summer blossom honey is the honey of warm days: rounder, more floral and a little fuller than the early spring blossom honey. Meadows, herbs, field margins, gardens and later blossoms all come together here. As a result, the honey tastes anything but one-dimensional – pleasantly soft, floral and well balanced.
Schleswig-Holstein brings together open fields, wind, meadows and flowering margins between the North Sea and the Baltic. The honeys often seem light, clean and pleasantly direct.
This summer blossom honey from Schleswig-Holstein is lovely on bread and rolls, but also works very well in quark, muesli or on pancakes. If you want honey to bring real flavour to the breakfast table, not just sweetness, you are in the right place. It is easygoing enough for every day, yet has enough floral depth not to feel arbitrary.
