Recipe with honey
Forest Honey Apple Porridge with Hazelnuts
Forest honey is strong and spicy and gives an autumn porridge with apple and hazelnut a dark, aromatic note.
⏱ Preparation 10 min · Cooking/baking time 10 min · Total 20 min · 2 servings
Ingredients
- 80 g fine rolled oats
- 350 ml milk
- 1 tart apple
- 2 tbsp forest honey
- 30 g hazelnut kernels
- 1 pinch of cinnamon
- 1 pinch of salt
Method
- Put the oats in a pan with the milk and a pinch of salt and bring to the boil.
- Reduce the heat and simmer for about 5 minutes, stirring, until the porridge is creamy.
- Wash and core the apple; cut half into small cubes and the other half into wedges.
- Stir the diced apple and cinnamon into the porridge and leave to infuse briefly.
- Toast the hazelnuts in a dry pan and roughly chop them.
- Pour the porridge into bowls and top with the apple wedges.
- Drizzle the forest honey over the top – as it is strong, a little gives plenty of flavour – and sprinkle with hazelnuts.

Tip: Oat or almond drink also works instead of milk. The porridge will then be slightly lighter.
