Honey variety
Forest honey: dark, robust and special
Forest honey is dark, robust and malty – the intense variety for anyone who likes character.
Taste and character
Forest honey is dark, spicy and malty-robust, with less sweetness than blossom honey. A variety with depth.
What makes it special
Forest honey does not come from blossom nectar, but from honeydew – the sugary excretion of insects on coniferous and deciduous trees.
Forest honey from three regions: the Black Forest, Franconia and Bavaria
Forest honey tastes slightly different depending on the origin of the trees. We harvest it, among other places, in the Black Forest, in Franconia and in Bavaria – currently available in the SUMMSTOFF shop as a variety of its own:
We are continuing to expand forest honey from Franconia in our range.
